Week 5 day 3…(drumroll, please)…DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I ran for 20 minutes STRAIGHT!  Throughout the day the thought would hit me:  I have to run for 20 minutes today.  It was weird because I looked forward to it, but at the same time I was afraid of failure.

I went home after work and laid down.  After about 20 minutes, I popped up, got dressed, and left.  I had to see if I could do it.

I went to a different park today.  I drove it before I got out to run, although it wasn’t until later that I realized that the driving path doesn’t clue you in to where the walking path goes.  I walked for five minutes.  Those were the fastest five minutes of my life!  Before I knew it, it was time to run.  I ran.  S-l-o-w-l-y.  At 13 minutes I was ready to call it a day, but not finishing was not an option.  And so I ran.  The last few minutes went by quickly.

I feel as if I’m ready for the 25-minute run next week (possibly Sunday).

I am SO proud of myself!
